Former CEO of Global Health Giant; AXA Health, joins Clinova to support the growth of Healthwords.
Damien Marmion joins the UK-based, digital consumer healthcare group as part of its global expansion.
London, November 22nd 2022: Clinova, the rapidly expanding global digital consumer healthcare company based in London has appointed Damian Marmion, the former CEO of Global Healthcare for AXA, to advise its Board on growth and content as the business prepares for its next phase. Damien will assist the business with growth across the Middle East.
Damien qualified as a doctor in 1991 and spent 21 years in Bupa in various roles including leading the Asian businesses in Hong Kong, doing a health insurance start up in India (2008-12) and leading Bupa UK health insurance business. In 2015 he joined AXA as CEO of Global Healthcare, helping to run businesses across 30 geographies. During his time in AXA Damien built a depth of knowledge of digital healthcare which is now his passion. In 2017 he set up his own advisory company in digital healthcare, working with clients from PE firms to insurers and early-stage healthcare companies.
Damien has experience of NED roles in Bupa Arabia (2008-10), Max Bupa India (2012-15) and most recently the Medical Protection Society, Changing Health and Altha Health.
Damien loves healthcare and is a part time volunteer at a hospice, loves the freedom/exhaustion of cycling and hence he does loads of cooking!

With plans to launch in the US next month, Healthwords will enter the world's largest consumer health market prepared for global growth.
